Cachejay for ChatGPT

Make ChatGPT know your day

ChatGPT remembers your chats. Cachejay remembers the call, the commit and the thing you promised Priya, and ChatGPT can read it from your phone.

Setting it up

Add a connector

In ChatGPT, add a custom connector with the URL https://cachejay.com/mcp.

When it asks, enter your Cachejay email and the 6-digit code we send you.

Or use your Mac

Connect AI Apps › ChatGPT or Claude on a Phone or the Web… in the menu shows a one-time code that works too.

Ask something

“What did I agree to on calls this week?” is a good first one.

Connectors depend on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.

What ChatGPT can read

Your days

A write-up of each day, week and month, split by project.

Your calls

Notes and transcripts from Zoom, Meet, Teams and FaceTime.

Your projects

One page each, with what was decided and what is still open.

Read-only tools: search_memory (everything captured), recent_activity, call_transcript, today, recent_notes, search_notes, read_note, and search and fetch for deep research.

Things to ask

“Draft this week’s client recap for Acme.”

Written from the week’s notes instead of from memory.

“What did I commit to on calls this month?”

Pulled from the action items on each call.

“Turn yesterday into a Jira update.”

ChatGPT can post it too, if your plan has the Jira connector. More.

“Where did we land on pricing?”

Handy on your phone, five minutes before the meeting.

Deep research, with your notes in it

Research a customer and the report can quote your last three calls with them.

Working in Codex?

Codex connects to Cachejay on your Mac too, and can also see what's on your screen right now and find your files. Cachejay for Codex.

We also wrote up the other ways to give ChatGPT context, like Projects and custom instructions. Read the guide.

Questions

Does it work with ChatGPT deep research?

Yes. The connector has the search and fetch tools deep research looks for, so a run can cite your calls and project pages next to the web.

Does Cachejay work with ChatGPT?

Yes. Add a custom connector with the URL https://cachejay.com/mcp and sign in with your Cachejay email. It works on the web and on your phone.

What can ChatGPT see?

Everything Cachejay captured and wrote up: what was on your screen, your calls and transcripts, your agent sessions, and the notes on your days and projects. It can read, not change anything. Times are in your own time zone.

How do I disconnect ChatGPT?

Connect AI Apps › Disconnect All Phone and Web Apps in the menu bar. Settings › Delete Cloud Notes… also deletes everything in the cloud and stops syncing.

Is this better than ChatGPT’s memory?

It’s a different thing. ChatGPT’s memory is about your chats with ChatGPT. Cachejay is about the work you did everywhere else.

Does it work on the ChatGPT phone app?

Yes. Once the connector is on your account, it works in the app too.
