The human cache
Everything your AI needs to know about you, kept current
Your AI apps are fast and capable, and they start every conversation knowing nothing about your work. Cachejay is the human cache: what you saw, said, decided and promised, captured as you work, kept up to date as things change, and ready for ChatGPT, Claude or you in one read.
You're the cache right now
Before AI can help, someone has to tell it what's going on. That someone is you. You paste the email thread, re-explain the project, dig up what was agreed on the call, and remember who you owe what. The model is waiting on you.
Cachejay takes that job. It reads the text in your apps and screen on your Mac, transcribes your calls without a bot, keeps your coding-agent sessions, and files all of it by project. When ChatGPT or Claude needs context, they read it from Cachejay instead of from you.
What's in it
What you saw
Pages, docs, email and messages you read, by their words, with the address to open them again. Screen History keeps the picture too.
What was said
Zoom, Meet, Teams and FaceTime calls, transcribed on your Mac, with the notes, the decisions and the action items. Calls.
What you did
Every project with a page: what got done, what's open, what's next. Commits, agent sessions, and the memory and plans your AI agents keep, by project.
What you owe
To-dos from your calls and work, each with who asked, which project, when, why, and a link back to where it came from.
New beats old
A cache that's out of date is worse than none. An AI that confidently gives you last month's plan wastes more time than one that asks.
Statuses that move on
When new work comes in for a project, its status is rewritten within about half an hour. What's still true stays, what's finished or stale goes.
To-dos that close themselves
Each open to-do is checked against what you did after it was added. Finished ones are ticked off, with the reason. Untick one and it stays open.
Today, while it's happening
A recap of the day is rewritten as it goes, so what you started this morning isn't lost by the evening.
A long memory that reads short
Every day, week and month is written up from the one below it, so your AI can look back over a quarter in one read.
One cache, read from anywhere
The cache lives in your Cachejay account, so every app reads the same thing. On your Mac, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, VS Code and Zed connect directly over MCP. On the web or your phone, add Cachejay to ChatGPT or Claude as a connector. You can browse it yourself at cachejay.com/app.
Each agent's own memory only covers the folder it's working in. Cachejay reads them all, so an agent in one project follows what you decided in another, and the newest version of each note replaces the last.
Ask where something stands, what was agreed, or what you promised this week, and the answer comes from what actually happened. For coding agents, see agent context. To keep any AI's memory current, read why AI memory goes stale.
What it isn't
Not another agent. Cachejay doesn't send email or move things for you. It keeps the context, and the AI apps you already use do the work with their own tools.
Not a recording of everything. Password managers and private windows are never read, you can exclude any app, and passwords and keys are masked before anything leaves your Mac. No call audio is kept.
Not something to maintain. There's nothing to tag or type. Fix what it got wrong, and your fix sticks.
Questions
What is a human cache?
Everything an AI app would need to know about your work to help without asking: what you saw, what was said on your calls, what you decided, what you owe people and where each project stands. Cachejay builds it from your Mac and your calls as you work, and keeps it current.
How is it different from ChatGPT’s or Claude’s memory?
Their memory keeps what you tell them in a chat. Most of your work happens outside the chat: in calls, email, docs, code and the browser. Cachejay captures that, and any AI app you connect reads the same cache.
Does it read what my AI agents remember?
Yes. Cachejay reads the memory files and plans Claude Code keeps, Codex’s memory, and each project’s CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md and Cursor rules, and keeps the current version of each. Any agent can read them, including ones working in a different project.
How does it know what’s out of date?
When new work comes in for a project, its status is rewritten from the last one: what’s still true stays, what’s finished or stale goes, what’s new is added. To-dos are checked against what you did after they were added and ticked off with the reason. You never have to mark anything old.
Do I have to keep it up to date?
No. There’s nothing to type. You can correct it (rename a project, move it to another group, untick a to-do) and your change is kept over Cachejay’s next pass.
Does Cachejay do tasks for me?
No. It keeps the context. ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and Codex do the work with their own tools and connectors, and they start already knowing what you know.
Who can see it?
Only you, plus your team for the projects you choose to share. Password managers and private windows are never read, and passwords and keys are masked before anything syncs. Privacy details.
