Cachejay for Claude

Give Claude memory of your actual work

Claude is very good once it knows what's going on. Cachejay tells it, so you can skip the three paragraphs of background.

What Claude can do with it

Sessions that pick up where you stopped

A new Claude Code session already knows what you were doing yesterday, even if you were in Codex.

It can see what you saw

Say “the error I just saw in Chrome” and Claude looks it up.

It knows what was said

Ask what Sarah said about pricing and get the actual quote.

It can write your updates

Your standup, written from yesterday and posted to Slack through Claude's connector.

It finds files

“Find the signed lease PDF” works, through Spotlight.

Set up in one click

  1. Install Cachejay and open it.
  2. In the menu bar, choose Connect AI Apps → Claude Code or Claude Desktop. Claude's other settings stay as they were.
  3. Ask Claude “what was I just doing?”.

On the web or your phone, add a custom connector with the URL https://cachejay.com/mcp and sign in with your Cachejay email. Claude can then search everything Cachejay captured, from anywhere.

Why Claude needs this

Claude only knows what you've told Claude, and most of the work happens somewhere else. So you end up describing it, and your description is never as good as the original.

Cachejay keeps the original. Claude asks for what it needs over the Model Context Protocol and gets the real error message, not your summary of it.

If you want to compare this with CLAUDE.md files and Projects, we wrote that up in How to give Claude memory of your work.

Questions

Does Cachejay work with Claude Code?

Yes. One click adds it as an MCP server, and Claude calls tools like project_brief and search_memory when it needs them.

Does it work with Claude Desktop?

Yes, the same way: choose Connect AI Apps → Claude Desktop in the menu bar.

How is this different from Claude’s own memory?

Claude’s memory is what you’ve said to Claude. Cachejay is everything that happened outside the chat.

Can Claude post updates to my tools with this?

Yes, through Claude’s own connectors for apps like Slack, Linear or HubSpot. Ask for a draft first if you’d like to check it.

Does Claude see everything I’ve done?

No. It sees what it asks for, when it asks, and that becomes part of the conversation.
