Cachejay for Grok

Give Grok your workday

Grok knows what’s happening on X and the web. Cachejay knows what happened in your day: your calls, your projects and what you said you’d do. Add it to Grok as a custom connector and ask.

Connect Grok

Get a code

In the Cachejay menu, choose Connect AI Apps › Grok…. Grok’s connectors page opens in your browser and the URL is copied.

Add a connector

At grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector, then Custom, and paste https://cachejay.com/mcp.

When Grok sends you to Cachejay, type the code from the menu, or your email and the code we send you, and allow it.

Ask something

“Using Cachejay, what did I agree to on calls this week?”

Cachejay uses the standard MCP sign-in (OAuth with PKCE and dynamic client registration) that Grok’s custom connectors use. On Grok Business and Enterprise, an admin provisions connectors for the team first.

What Grok can read

Your days

A write-up of each day, week and month, split by project.

Your calls

Notes and transcripts from Zoom, Meet, Teams and FaceTime.

Your projects

One page each, with what was decided, what is still open and your to-dos.

Good first questions

  • “Where does the website redesign stand, and what’s blocking it?”
  • “Draft a follow-up to yesterday’s call with the design team, from my notes.”
  • “What did I say I’d do this week that isn’t done yet?”
  • “Summarize my week by project, with the calls behind each point.”

Ask one whose answer you already know first, and check that Grok names the call or note it came from. More on connecting custom servers in how to add an MCP server to Grok, and on other assistants in work context for AI agents.

Questions

Does Cachejay work with Grok?

Yes, as a custom connector. At grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector, then Custom, enter https://cachejay.com/mcp, and sign in with your Cachejay email or the code from the Cachejay menu.

Which Grok plans can add a custom connector?

xAI’s docs say connectors are available to all Grok users; some guides say custom connectors need a paid plan. If you don’t see Custom under New Connector, check your plan. On Grok Business and Enterprise, an admin provisions the connector for the team first.

What can Grok read?

What has synced to your Cachejay account: notes on your days, weeks and months, calls and their transcripts, projects and where they stand, your to-dos, boards and docs. Grok reads; it can’t change anything outside Cachejay.

Does it work with Grok Bot?

Grok Bot adds MCP servers when you ask it in chat, and signs in the same way. Ask it to add https://cachejay.com/mcp as a custom MCP server. Grok Bot is new, and people have reported its sign-in to custom servers failing on some; if it does, connect at grok.com instead and tell us at hello@cachejay.com.

How do I disconnect Grok?

Remove Cachejay at grok.com/connectors, or choose Connect AI Apps › Disconnect All Phone and Web Apps in the Cachejay menu bar, which revokes every web and phone app at once.
