Linear + Cachejay

Update Linear with Claude or ChatGPT, from what you actually did

Your issues should say what actually happened today. Cachejay knows the commits, the agent sessions and the call where the plan changed.

Set it up

  1. Connect Linear in your AI app. Linear is in Claude’s connector directory. ChatGPT’s Linear app can write, where your plan supports it.
  2. Connect Cachejay: on your Mac from the menu bar (Connect AI Apps), or in ChatGPT and Claude on the web and your phone with a connector at cachejay.com/mcp.
  3. Ask. Start with a draft if it’s going somewhere other people will read.

Connector availability and actions depend on your Claude or ChatGPT plan and change often. Checked October 2026.

Questions

Does Cachejay connect to Linear?

No. Cachejay never connects to it itself; your AI app does, with the permissions you give it.

Does it know which issue I was working on?

It knows the project, the commits and branch names, and what you discussed with your coding agent, which is usually enough for Claude to find the issue.

Can Claude Code do this too?

Yes, if you’ve added Linear to it. Claude Code also connects to Cachejay directly.
